Our Story

Backyard view of a house with a screened porch, surrounded by trees, with a well-maintained lawn and potted plants along the house's back wall.

First Coast Flower Co started the way many good things do — with a vegetable garden & a little curiosity! Tomatoes turned into trellises. Garlic multiplied. My fiancé, Steve, even claimed territory for his fiery, hot peppers. And somewhere between rows of greens & raised beds, the flowers quietly took over.

Today, seasonal blooms fill our yard here locally in St. Augustine, FL. Every stem is started from seed or tuber & grown with our hands in the soil. We discovered the joy of growing things with our hands, sharing them with others, & building a small ecosystem right in our backyard.

First Coast Flower Co isn’t a large-scale farm. We are a homegrown labor of love — rooted in vegetables, fueled by passion, & blooming into something bigger each season.

Flowers: Seasonal bouquets featuring dahlias, sunflowers, ranunculus, & other garden favorites.

Fire: Steve’s passion for growing hot peppers led to our First Coast Fire line of seedlings, fresh peppers, & spice blends.

Flow: Our aquarium ecosystem provides natural nutrients that help keep the garden thriving.

Flavor: Fresh culinary herbs & garden-grown ingredients for the kitchen.

Our secret weapon? Sustainability.
We established & maintain a worm farm for compost & use hundreds of gallons of aquarium water from our freshwater fish tanks — recycled, nutrient-rich, & poured straight back into the garden. We believe healthy soil & thoughtful practices contribute to a healthier lifestyle.

And no day in the garden is complete without Darwin, our red-footed tortoise, making his slow but with intentional, quality inspections. 🐢
